I'm Baaaack!

I know it has been a while but this new job is kicking my butt, plus Josh has been pretty sick. But I have GREAT news, I actually collected my first debts.(granted I only collected 3 out of about 2,000 calls I made for a total of$90 but believe me I did a big happy dance on the first one.) The first day we were on the phones everyone else was collecting it but not me, I still had a big goose egg next to my name. But I did it!!!!
I have also learned SOOO many useful laws that I apply to my life every day. Ok I know ya'll don't want to read this forever so I will go for now, but just know, if a collector ever calls you and you end up paying that they are doing a happy dance on the other end.

My new job

Well I started my new job last week. Ok are ya'll ready, I am now a debt collector. Before the hate messages come in just remember I am only doing this for the money. I haven't actually started collecting yet, I have two more weeks of traing first so that I can learn all the laws in the various states. I am kinda worried I won't be good at it though because I have been on the receiving end of many such calls. It also makes it more difficult for me to call these people and demand money because I will be collecting medical bills. If it were credit cards or something I don't think I would feel as bad because they voluntarily went out and charged up the cards. But these are medical bills that the people had to create due to emergency health problems in most cases. I think I will be tempted to call up and ask them for the money and when they say they don't have it say "Ok I am sorry to bother you, have a nice day." Somehow I don't think that will keep me in a job for long. How do you think you would do at the job?? Any helpful suggestions?
This training is proving to be helpful to me, because I have learned all sorts of laws and rules to help me deal with the collectors that call me!

Egotistical and Self- involved

I want to begin by saying I am not attacking any one person, I have just had my fill of egotistical, self-involved people. Is it a new trend that I don't know about to be rude, insensitive, and unconsiderate for no particular reason? It seems to me that as a society very few people have respect for anyones feelings but their own. I am not saying that everything everyone says should be flowery and sugar coated, but a little courtesy would go a long way. For example if you thought that somebodywas talking to loud, would it really be so hard to say "exuse me would you mind lowering your voice?" opposed to "Hey loudmouth, shut up!" It takes no more effort to speak with respect than it does to use blunt honesty. Which I will agree that some people just do not take a hint, and eventually you have to be blunt with them. But about 70% of poeple I have contact with in person, on the phone, or on the internet just don't give a crap about respecting the people who do take hints and they jump straight to being insulting and rude.
Now if you answer HONESTLY if somebody came up to YOU and said" hey you are loud and your voice grates on my nerves like nails on a chalkboard" what would you do, feel, and think? Like my mom and dad has always said "if you can't take it, don't dish it out"
I don't know if this is just a fad that will pass eventually, or just the fast that most people nowadays do not know how to be respectfull, or (more likely) they honestly don't give a crap how they make others feel. Either way I would like to make two requests to everyone reading this: 1) If you can try to explain to me why people don't care about showing anyone else respect(even if they receive it from that person) 2) if you are one of these people that hold this belief, try to be nice and respectful to every person you come in contact with and let me know how it goes.
Thanks for listening (reading)!

Things that make you say hummmm

Ok I will get you started but I want to hear what makes you guys say humm.
1.) Why do football players get paid more then police, firemen, and even the president of the U.S.A.? Hummm
2.) Why are old men with young women "studs", but those same young women are "gold diggers"?
3.) Why do most social events center around eating?
4.) Why are animal farts so silent? (yet deadly)
5.) Why can a person walk into a probation office, take a drug test, fail it, and then go home without a worry?
Anyway it's your turn, let me have them!!
